What is Slow and Steady Sculptra Treatment?

Slow and Steady Sculptra is 3.0 cc’s of a collagen stimulating injectable treatment called Sculptra Aesthetic. Sculptra is not a filler, and won’t give you instant volume, rather it stimulates your body to make it’s own collagen and repair the tissue and skin from the inside out. Results are seen over time.

How Much Does the Slow and Steady Sculptra Treatment Cost?

The Slow and Steady Sculptra Treatment is $800. For a more dramatic result or correction, we recommend doubling or even tripling up. Our Natural Pace Advanced Sculptra Treatment uses twice the amount of product, and is $1600. You also have the option of adding in your own PRP to your injections for even better results for $200. We love Aspire, and will make sure we always stay on top of your points and get you your coupons and rewards!

How Long Does Slow and Steady Last?

Slow and Steady is actually considered to be semi-permanent, because it is your own body’s collagen and tissue that is being formed. Of course, it your collagen will gradually decrease due to aging. Many of our patients like to do up to 4 treatments, 3-4 weeks apart, and then maintain by treating once every year to two years.

How Long Will My Appointment Take?

Slow and Steady Sculptra takes about 15-30 minutes, and about 15 minutes more than that if you would like to do a PRP add-on for $200. Your time is precious- we don’t want to waste it!

Does Slow and Steady Hurt?

Worried about pain? We can a prescription-strength numbing cream that we can apply 10-15 minutes before you are injected, which will get you nice and numb before your treatment.

Is There Any Prep for This Treatment?

To minimize your chances of bruising, we recommend avoiding ibuprofen and blood-thinning medications for 3 days before your injections. If you are prone to cold sores, you may want to start a course of treatment. Not sure what to do for cold sores? Just give us a call. 801-281-3223.

Is There Any Downtime or Recovery After This Treatment?

Everyone is different- we have some BeautyLabbers who walk out of their injections appointments totally ready to go… and others who tend to bruise and swell. It really depends on your own individual physiology and body chemistry! Most people do swell a bit… generally, the morning after your injections is when you are going to be the most swollen. DON’T PANIC. This is normal and is actually supposed to happen! Typically, you will be a little swollen for a few days, up to a week after your injections. You are also going to be doing 5 5-minute massages in the area being injected for 5 days following your Sculptra treatment. This is to ensure that the Sculptra is dispersed into the tissue. Stay hydrated, avoid Ibuprofen before your appointment, and we recommend starting a course of Arnica Montana (a homeopathic remedy for bruising and swelling,) which we sell here for $12.

Are There Any Products I Should be Using at Home?

Yes! A good skin care regimen is paramount to keeping you looking young and beautiful. Specifically, Skin Medica’s HA5 Rejuvenating Hydrator is the perfect partner to all filler injections. It’s proven to plump the appearance of your skin, as well as adds smoothing and hydrating benefits using Hyaluronic Acid, which is exactly what is in the dermal fillers we use for our Lip Plumps, Custom Contours, and Check Your Bags treatments. We also recommend using Skin Medica’s TNS Recovery Complex (if you are under the age of 35) or the TNS Essential Serum (if you are over the age of 35.) TNS contains growth factors, which will help firm and tighten the skin, and increase elasticity. TNS is like your multivitamin for your skin. Protect your investment! $99 for HA5, $99 for TNS Recovery Complex, and $199 for TNS Essential Serum. Of course these prices are with your #BeautyLabber discount.
