After-Care
Follow these post-care notes after facial filler appointments. Your provider may give you personalized instructions based on your treatment plan and placement.
Before you can enjoy your new facial filler results, there is a small adjustment period. These instructions apply if you received treatments such as Custom Contour, Nose Contour, Cheekbone Pop, Puppetmaster, Check Your Bags, Chin to Win, Lift Love Lab, or Just the Jawline.
Bruising is completely normal and can last a couple of weeks. Feel free to cover it up with makeup or lipstick. If you want some extra help, Arnica pills can help support your recovery.
You can sleep in any position you want. It will not shape, shift, or affect the filler placement.
Expect swelling to be most significant for the first 24-48 hours. During this time, ice for 5 minutes on and 5 minutes off, take Ibuprofen only after injections, take Arnica pills if recommended, and avoid touching or massaging the tender area.
Go ahead and resume your normal activities, but with a little pep in your step. The filler was placed where your injector wants it, so it is not going anywhere. Feel free to exercise, wear makeup, get a facial, and be your normal fabulous self.
Give yourself around 2 weeks for the filler to settle in and for the final results to be visible.
If you experience unusual pain, swelling, skin color changes such as pale, blue, or mottled skin, or worsening symptoms, this could indicate a vascular occlusion, which is a rare but time-sensitive complication that requires immediate attention.
Your safety comes first. Always err on the side of getting checked out.
