Feel the Peel

A chemical peel uses a chemical solution to remove damaged skin cells and reveal healthier, more youthful-looking skin. Different chemicals determine the depth of the peel and the type of skin condition being treated. Chemical peels can brighten your skin, improve your overall complexion, and reduce or improve fine lines, wrinkles, acne, scars, uneven skin coloring, and other skin imperfections.

Mini Feel The Peel is $79, Full Feel The Peel is $150, and Mega Feel The Peel is $200.

Lighter chemical peels, like lactic and glycolic peels, exfoliate the top layers of the skin. These results typically last about a week and the treatments can be done every couple of weeks. More aggressive peels target deeper layers of the skin and can have longer-term results after multiple treatments. These are usually done every 3-4 weeks. Most people need 3-6 treatments to achieve their goals, and proper home care helps extend results.

The sensations you feel depend on the strength of peel used. You can typically expect prickling, heat, itching, and tightness. We use a fan to help make your treatment more comfortable. Within a few minutes these sensations usually dissipate and you should feel back to normal before you walk out the door.

Your esthetician will ask about your concerns and skincare goals before beginning. A chemical peel treatment typically includes four steps: a thorough cleanse, a pre-treatment solution, application of the peel, and post-care products with SPF. Depending on the peel chosen, multiple layers may be applied or the peel may be removed after several minutes. Your esthetician will finish by reviewing post-care instructions so you can get your best results.

We have three levels of peels to pick from. Mini Feel The Peel is great for first timers, clients who do not want downtime, or anyone who just wants to brighten their complexion. Full Feel The Peel is more aggressive and is a good fit if acne, dark spots, or irregular pigment are concerns. Mega Feel The Peel includes BioRePeel Blue, a 35% TCA peel with little downtime that can address a wide range of concerns. For best results, a series of four treatments every 7-10 days is recommended. If you are unsure which peel to pick, schedule a consultation with one of our estheticians.

Mini Feel The Peels take about 20 minutes. Full Feel The Peels can take anywhere from 30-40 minutes. Mega Feel The Peel takes about 45 minutes.

Discontinue use of retinol, active ingredients like glycolic and salicylic acids, and any topical acne creams 5-7 days before and after your treatment. We cannot treat skin that has recently been waxed or lasered, sunburned skin, or skin with open wounds or rashes. Other than making sure your skin is treatable, come into your appointment and we will take care of the rest.

Our lighter peels are non-invasive, so besides a little redness that is typically gone by the time you get home, there is no downtime or recovery. Some clients may notice dryness and flaking, but no actual peeling. More aggressive peels involve some social downtime. Most people are red for about 24 hours, followed by 3-7 days of peeling. The peeling process can be minimal flaking or more visible shedding depending on your skin and peel depth.

You should always apply SPF daily, and we recommend SkinCeuticals Daily Brightening UV Defense for a glowy finish or Alastin HydraTint for a hint of color.

Visible shedding depends on the selected product, application, preparation, and individual response. Peeling intensity does not by itself measure treatment success.

Do not pick or scratch the skin, add unapproved exfoliants, use a tanning bed, or ignore sun protection and product-specific instructions.
