Fat dissolving injections use deoxycholic acid, the active ingredient found in Kybella®, to permanently destroy unwanted fat cells. Once those fat cells are eliminated, your body naturally processes and removes them over the following weeks.

Yes. Once treated fat cells are destroyed, they cannot return. However, remaining fat cells can still enlarge with significant weight gain, so maintaining a stable weight helps preserve your results.

Most clients need a minimum of two treatments, spaced 4 to 8 weeks apart, for optimal results. Larger treatment areas or more significant fat deposits may require additional sessions.

Most clients describe the injections as a brief burning or stinging sensation that quickly subsides. Your provider will use techniques to maximize comfort throughout the treatment.

Swelling is expected and is actually a sign that the treatment is working. Depending on the treatment area, swelling can last several days to a couple of weeks. Bruising, tenderness, and temporary numbness are also common.

Absolutely. While Kybella® is FDA-approved for treating fat beneath the chin, experienced providers also use fat dissolving injections to improve carefully selected areas of stubborn fat throughout the body. During your consultation, we'll determine whether you're a good candidate.

Fat dissolving injections work best for clients who are close to their goal weight but have small pockets of stubborn fat that haven't responded to diet and exercise. They are not intended as a weight loss treatment.

Most clients begin noticing improvement within 4 to 6 weeks as the body gradually clears the destroyed fat cells. Results continue improving after each treatment.

Fat dissolving injections are a non-surgical option for treating small, localized areas of stubborn fat. Liposuction is more appropriate for larger-volume fat removal. During your consultation, we'll recommend the treatment that best fits your goals.
