Full Feel The Peel

Follow these after-care instructions after your full chemical peel to support even healing and protect your results.

After Your Treatment

  • Do not pick or scrub at the skin. This will lead to pigmentation irregularities and scarring.
  • Do not use active topical products like retinols, AHA's/BHA's for 1 week, or until your skin is fully healed.
  • Do not use any manual exfoliants, such as scrubs, wash cloths, or cleansing devices, for 1 week, or until your skin is fully healed.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, sweating, and heat for 2-3 days after your treatment.
  • Avoid direct sun exposure, including tanning beds, for 4 weeks after your treatment.
  • Always wear an SPF 30+ and reapply every 2 hours.

Not following the above may result in pigmentation irregularities and/or scarring.

Expected Healing Process

  • Day of treatment: mild to moderate redness, heat sensation and some sensitivity. Slight swelling is a possibility.
  • Day 1-2: mild to moderate redness. Skin may begin to feel tight and dry. You may begin to see temporary darkening and/or crusting of pigmentation.
  • Day 3+: mild to moderate flaking and/or sheet peeling. This should subside by day 6.

Depending on the peel performed and the health of the skin, it can be normal to not see visible peeling.
