Biostimulators Post-Care Instructions
Confirm your product before starting home care. Follow your injector’s additional instructions for the treated area.
Use the correct massage plan
- Sculptra: massage for 5 minutes, 5 times daily, for 5 days, using your injector’s technique and recommended moisturizer.
- Radiesse: do not use the Sculptra routine. Massage only if specifically instructed. If unsure which product you received, call before massaging.
The first day
- Swelling, bruising and tenderness can occur. Use a cloth-wrapped cool pack briefly if recommended; avoid direct ice and firm pressure.
- Minimize strenuous activity, excessive sun and heat for 24 hours, or longer if instructed. Ask about makeup and pain relief; do not stop prescribed medicines yourself.
Follow your recovery
- Early fullness changes as swelling settles. Collagen-related changes develop gradually; timing differs between products and people.
- Keep your review. Report persistent or visible nodules, especially red or tender ones, or delayed swelling. Do not treat lumps yourself.
When to get help
- Call 911 for new vision changes, stroke symptoms, breathing difficulty or tongue or throat swelling.
- Call 801-281-3223 immediately for unusual or increasing pain or pale, blue or mottled skin. Do not add massage. If help is unavailable promptly, go to the emergency department.
- Contact us promptly for fever, spreading redness, warmth, drainage or open sores.
