PRF Post-Care Instructions
Follow your injector’s personalized instructions. Contact Beauty Lab + Laser if your recovery concerns you.
Protect the area
- For at least one hour, avoid ice, massage, rubbing or pressure unless your injector directs otherwise.
- Keep the area clean. Confirm when to restart makeup or lipstick; avoid open or bleeding puncture sites.
Manage swelling safely
- Swelling may peak during the first 24–72 hours. Bruising can take a couple of weeks to fade.
- Confirm pain relief before taking ibuprofen, naproxen or aspirin. Never stop prescribed medicines without the prescriber’s advice.
Allow recovery
- If acetaminophen is recommended, follow its label and avoid duplicate products. Ask before using supplements, including Arnica.
- Early swelling is not your final result. Call 801-281-3223 for persistent lumps or symptoms that are not settling. Response and timing vary; keep your planned follow-up so your injector can assess healing.
Get help promptly
- Call 911 for vision changes, facial drooping, sudden weakness, trouble speaking or trouble breathing. Do not wait for a clinic reply.
- Seek immediate medical care for unusual or worsening pain or pale, blue or mottled skin. Call 801-281-3223; if unavailable, go to the ER.
- Call the clinic promptly for fever, spreading redness, warmth or drainage.
